How to Download and Save Important Voicemails

Have you ever had an important voicemail that you didn’t want to lose? Maybe it was from your boss, or a loved one. How did you save it? In this blog post, we will show you how to download and save voicemails from your phone.

Check voicemail regularly and delete messages you don’t need

Most people check their voicemail regularly, but if you’re like many, you probably don’t delete messages very often. If you have a lot of old voicemails taking up space on your phone, it’s time to clean them out.

How to do it?

There are two ways to delete voicemails: from your phone’s visual Voicemail app or from your carrier’s website.

 

Deleting voicemails from your phone’s visual Voicemail app is easy: just find the message you want to delete and tap the trash can icon. If you want to delete multiple voicemails at once, select them all by tapping the checkbox next to each one, then tap the trash can icon.

Deleting voicemails from your carrier’s website is a little more complicated. First, you’ll need to log in to your carrier’s website. Once you’re logged in, find the section for managing voicemails. From there, you should be able to delete individual voicemails or all voicemails at once.

How to Download and Save Voicemails From Your Phone

If you want to keep a voicemail forever, you’ll need to download it and save it to your computer. How to do it?

To download a voicemail, you’ll first need to log in to your carrier’s website. Once you’re logged in, find the section for managing voicemails. From there, you should be able to download individual voicemails.

Once you have the voicemail saved on your computer, you can store it anywhere you like. Many people choose to store their voicemails in a folder on their computer dedicated to saving important files.

Forward saved voicemails as an attachment in an email message

1. On your iPhone, open the Phone app.

2. Tap Voicemail in the bottom right corner of the screen. If you don’t see Voicemail, tap Dialer in the top left corner of the screen, then tap the Voicemail tab.

3. Tap the voicemail that you want to forward, then tap Share . If you don’t see Share, tap More Options .

4. Tap Email.

5. Enter an email address, then tap Send.

 

How to Save Voicemails Permanently on Your Computer (Mac)

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer with a Lightning cable or USB cable.

2. Open Finder on your Mac.

3. Click your iPhone’s name in the left sidebar under Locations.

4. Click the Voicemails folder to open it in the main window.

5. Select the voicemails that you want to copy by holding down the Command key and clicking each voicemail file you want to copy.

6. Drag the selected voicemails to a folder on your computer where you want to save them.

7. Eject your iPhone from Finder when you’re finished copying the voicemails.

Use a voice recorder app on your smartphone to record important voicemails

If you have an iPhone, there is a default Voice Memos app that you can use to record your voicemails. If you don’t have this app, you can download a voice recorder app from the App Store.
